Frequently
Asked Questions:
How
does membership work?
We
charge a small membership fee of £8.95 for 6 months access to
our members area where you can contact babysitters in your area. You
can contact as many as you need to find a babysitter and there are no
further charges. There are no booking fees and when you find a
babysitter you can use them as often as you need. You will find that
many of our babysitters are very experienced and many are qualified
nannies looking for part-time work.

you vet your babysitters?
No,
baby-sitters.net is a venue for babysitters & families to find
& contact each other. We are not an agency in any way. You are
responsible for checking a babysitters References & Background.
How
do I vet a babysitter?
You
may wish to start by telephone interviewing them, followed by a face
to face interview. Ask them to bring any references (preferably
childcare) to the interview. We recommend you contact the references
to validate them and to make sure there were no problems. If possible
telephone the referee's and ask about the babysitters suitability to
look after children.
Always
ask for proof of identity and address.
Many
babysitters probably have not been police checked, but they can
obtain this within a few weeks from their local authority and provide
you a copy if you prefer. Shortly a new website will be available to
obtain police checks, Criminal Records Bureau at www.crb.gov.uk
